About this scholarship
Graduating U.S. high school seniors of Indian-American heritage (born in India or with at least one parent born in India) who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply for Upakar merit- and need-based scholarships. Applicants need a 3.6 or higher unweighted GPA, prior-year family AGI under $150,000, and full-time fall enrollment at an accredited four-year university or two-year community college.
Awards provide up to $2,500 per year for four years at a university, or a community college path with transfer support. Scholarships renew with GPA and enrollment requirements.
