About this scholarship

Full-time University of Mount Union undergraduates recruited for varsity esports teams or selected at open tryouts may receive esports scholarships.

Awards range from $150 to $1,000 per year based on skill level, renewable for up to eight semesters. Eligible games include League of Legends, Overwatch, and Rocket League.

Recipients must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA and good academic standing. Mount Union was the first school in Stark County, Ohio to offer esports scholarships.

What else to submit

  • Full-time undergraduate student
  • Recruited to / compete on a varsity-level esports team (Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Valorant) OR selected through open tryouts
  • Maintain a GPA over 2.5 and not be under academic probation
  • Complete the Esports Interest Form / contact the Director of Esports
  • Award is skill-based, ranging from $150 to $1,000 depending on skill level and number of participants
  • Complete the Esports Interest Form or contact the Director of Esports.
  • Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA and good academic standing for continued eligibility.
  • Award amount is determined by skill level and participation numbers; renewal is available for up to eight semesters.
