About this scholarship
Admitted University of Charleston students of any major who audition for band, choir, or dance may receive talent scholarships.
Awards are up to $5,000 per year depending on scholarship package and residency. Contact Director of Music and Dance Activities Josie Fisher (josiefisher1@ucwv.edu) to schedule an audition.

- Audition required (band, choir, or dance team) - performance-based selection
- Dance Team audition: execute technical elements (splits, double pirouette, toe touch, cartwheel), perform 1-2 dance combinations (Hip-Hop/Jazz/Contemporary/Pom, 30 sec min each), and 4 eight-counts of
- Audition can be in person or via unlisted YouTube video emailed to the Director of Music and Dance Activities
- Flat enrollment fee of $250 per semester to participate in band, dance team, or choir
- Award amount up to $5,000 per year depending on scholarship package, skill level, participation, financial need, and residency status
