About this scholarship
Students on a study permit with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta from a high school in India may receive one of three India Centenary Scholarships of $5,000.
Selection considers academic standing, demonstrated leadership through extracurricular and community involvement, and a counsellor or teacher recommendation. Renewal for years two through four requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a full normal course load while studying on a study permit. Students must have graduated from a high school in India and have fewer than 24 IB, AP, or A-level credits.
