About this scholarship
Entering freshmen from historically underrepresented backgrounds at the University of Akron with a minimum 3.0 GPA (or qualifying ACT or SAT scores) may apply for the Underrepresented Students Scholarship.
Awards are up to $3,500 based on residency, financial need, first-generation status, leadership, and community involvement. Preference goes to students from urban areas and Appalachian counties. The scholarship is renewable with 24 credits per year and a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
Submit the scholarship application and personal statement by May 1.
