About this scholarship
African American U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a minimum 3.0 GPA entering college as first-year STEM majors may apply to the Fund II UNCF STEM Scholars Program.
The program provides last-dollar scholarship aid of up to $5,000 per year for eligible scholars, plus mentoring and internship support. Applicants submit essays, a STEM teacher or mentor recommendation, and FAFSA documentation demonstrating financial need.
UNCF identifies high-potential students determined to pursue careers in biological sciences, engineering, computer science, mathematics, and related STEM fields.
