About this scholarship
Active full members of The United Methodist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, AME Zion Church, or Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for at least one year may apply for UMHEF scholarships. Applicants must be non-doctoral students. Preference goes to those enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a degree program at a regionally accredited United Methodist-related college, university, or seminary in the United States; awards are occasionally given for other schools.
Award amounts vary. Students may receive only one UMHEF scholarship per academic year.
Applications typically open January 1 through March 1 for the following academic year. UMHEF scholarships are separate from GBHEM programs.
