About this scholarship
Georgia residents who are U.S. citizens with demonstrated financial need, enrolled full time at a regionally accredited college, and who have completed at least 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) with a B average or higher may apply. Professional students pursuing MD/DO or DMD/DDS degrees are also eligible.
Award amounts vary up to $3,000 based on academic standing and financial need. The number of recipients varies each year.
Applications open January 6 and all materials are due March 6.
The Ty Cobb Educational Foundation was established by Tyrus R. Cobb to assist capable Georgia residents who need financial help completing college.
