About this scholarship
The Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation upholds the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen by awarding forty $1,500 one-year scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors who exemplify the Airmen's ideals of leadership and commitment. Since inception the foundation has granted over 1,300 scholarships totaling more than $1.7 million.
Applicants must be students of accredited high schools graduating in the current school year with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Selection weighs academic performance, financial need, and two themed essays. Applications are obtained from guidance counselors or the nearest Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. chapter and submitted to that chapter, which forwards top candidates for national review.
Completed applications for the 2026 awards were due to chapters by January 26, 2026; the program runs annually.
