About this scholarship

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or Protected Persons applying to eligible research-oriented master's or direct-entry doctoral programs at Canadian institutions may compete for the Tri-Agency Canada Graduate Research Scholarship - Master's (CGRS M). A first-class average in each of the last two completed years of study is typically required, and applicants must meet the program's months-of-study limits.

The award is $27,000 for 12 months and is non-renewable. Apply through the Research Portal on the Government of Canada website by December 1 before 8:00 p.m. ET, naming up to three institutions.

CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC jointly administer the program.
