About this scholarship

Massachusetts graduating high school seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA who have been personally or family-affected by cancer and have confirmed attendance at an accredited U.S. college may apply.

The Tom Olen Memorial Fund grants two scholarships annually, with awards up to $5,000 each toward college expenses.

Submit a 350-word essay or a two-to-three-minute video highlighting your experience with cancer, your talent, personal story, and future ambitions. The committee also weighs financial need, medical hardship, community service, and educational goals.
