Tom Bailey Memorial Award in Family Medicine

Open to outstanding first- or second-year medical residents in Family Medicine at the Vancouver Island site.

The award amount varies. It is endowed in memory of Tom Bailey (M.D. 1976).

Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Department of Family Medicine. There is no separate application.

Tom Bailey practiced family medicine in Victoria for forty years and served as Medical Director for Residential Services with the Vancouver Island Health Authority and President of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
