About this scholarship
Arizona high school graduates (or equivalent) with a minimum 3.5 GPA who plan to enroll as incoming freshmen at Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, or Northern Arizona University may apply. Two letters of recommendation (academic and personal) are required. The award cannot be combined with other funds except need-based federal aid. Recipients must maintain full-time status and a 3.5 GPA; renewal is required after the first year.
The four-year renewable scholarship covers tuition, fees, room, and board, plus mentorship through Education Forward Arizona and potential support for study abroad and internships.
Apply through the Arizona Community Foundation general application by March 1. The Thunderbirds Scholars Program was established in 2019.
