About this scholarship

Outstanding UBC Vancouver graduate students in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture may be considered. Preference goes to students from rural or underserved communities with a demonstrated interest in innovation and/or sustainability. Financial need may be taken into account.

Variable awards are funded through an endowment established by Thomas and Jenifer Bowen.

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of SALA in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.

Thomas Bowen comes from Grande Prairie, Alberta and hopes recipients will practice within their home communities.
