About this scholarship
First Nations, Métis, and Inuit grade 12 students at eligible Calgary Board of Education high schools who are completing diploma requirements and have shown academic progress, strong attendance at school and community cultural events, and participation in traditional Indigenous, Métis, or Inuit ceremonies. Preference is given to applicants with financial need.
One award of $2,000. Submit an original essay of about 500 words on a meaningful cultural experience or mentorship and on financial circumstances affecting post-secondary plans. Apply through the EducationMatters student award portal by May 30.
