About this scholarship

Final-year undergraduate or graduate students worldwide majoring in recreation, leisure studies, leisure services, leisure resources, or tourism studies who will attend and present a scholarly paper at the biennial World Leisure Congress may apply for the Thomas and Ruth Rivers International Scholarship.

The award includes a $1,000 travel stipend for in-person attendance, free congress registration, and a featured lecture opportunity. Applicants need a congress abstract, faculty recommendations, and World Leisure Organization membership.
