About this scholarship
California elementary, middle school, high school, and college students who practice black-and-white film or digital photography may enter this portfolio competition. Applicants must be enrolled in a California school when they apply, and each portfolio must use a single medium (all film or all digital).
The Weston Scholarship awards cash prizes ranging from $200 up to $1,000 for fine art photography portfolios. First-place winners in past competitions are not eligible to win the same award again but may compete in other categories.
Submit five mounted photographs and an artist's statement. The Weston Collective can provide cameras, darkroom time, and mat board for students who need equipment.
