The Walter Gibbins Memorial Travel Scholarship

Graduate students in Earth Sciences at McMaster University (preference for Geology) may apply for The Walter Gibbins Memorial Travel Scholarship to help support travel costs to deliver a paper at an international research conference.

The award is $750 and is awarded annually by the School of Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Director of the School of Earth, Environment & Society. Apply through McMaster AwardSpring when the competition is open.

Established in 1994 in honour of Dr. Walter Gibbins, who received his Ph.D. in Geology at McMaster in 1974 and served as Arctic District Geologist based in Yellowknife.
