About this scholarship
Thesis-based master's and doctoral students at Dalhousie with a first-class average may apply when their studies and research relate to vitamins or vitamin-related products (including named vitamins, beta carotene, canthazanthin, methionine, and products containing or derived from vitamins). Canadian and international students are eligible. The award must be taken up in the earliest eligible term within the first academic year, so applicants must be new or have spent eight months or less in program as of the deadline.
The doctoral award is normally $21,000 per year for up to two years. Master's awards are normally $19,000 for one year. Students who already hold a major FGS-managed award may instead receive a one-time $2,000 honorary award.
Applications require a plain-language description of how the research fits the vitamin focus.
