The Shure Award for Excellence in Sound Design

Full-time third- or fourth-year Film Studies students in the School of Image Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University with a strong academic record may apply. Applicants need a portfolio of creative film or sound projects and a statement of intent, and should be enrolled in or have completed Sound Design for Visual Media I (FPN 323) and Sound Design for Visual Media II (FPN 533).

The annual award is $5,000.

Shure Inc. established the award to support the next generation of leaders in sound, building on its long history in microphones and audio electronics.
