About this scholarship

U.S. residents ages 17 to 26 who are cancer survivors or currently in treatment and enrolled full-time (24 credits per year) at an accredited undergraduate college, university, or trade school may apply. Awards of up to $5,000 are granted based on financial need and disease impact; the number of recipients varies.

The program provides multi-year educational support to scholars from low-income families disproportionately affected by cancer.

The Ruth Cheatham Foundation empowers young cancer patients and survivors to pursue higher education.
