About this scholarship
Open to first-year JD students at Osgoode Hall Law School. The prize is given annually to the students in each section of first year who are judged to have won the research competition in Legal Process.

John Robert Cartwright enrolled at Osgoode, interrupted his studies to serve in the First World War (Military Cross, 1917), was called to the bar in 1920, and later served on the Supreme Court of Canada, becoming Chief Justice in 1967. He was invested as a Companion of the Order of Canada in 1970.
