The Ontario First Generation Bursary

Provincial bursary for Ontario residents at publicly assisted colleges and universities whose parents never attended postsecondary education, who are enrolled in a first-entry undergraduate program, do not already hold a postsecondary credential, and demonstrate financial need. At McMaster, limited funding currently opens this application to Level 1 students in the Faculty of Science and the DeGroote School of Business.

The bursary is up to $3,500 (schools set the amount within a $1,000 to $3,500 range). At McMaster, students who submit a General Bursary application may receive funding through this and other bursary sources. Apply through McMaster AwardSpring.
