About this scholarship

Undergraduate students majoring in Art History or History and Theory of Architecture at Carleton University, and graduate students in Art and/or Architectural History, may apply for support with travel and related costs for research or conference work outside the National Capital Region.

The award amount varies. It is meant to help with travel and accommodation for research trips, conferences, or visits to exhibitions and works of art that advance the student's studies. Selection is by recommendation of the Director of the School for Studies in Art and Culture (or designate).

The award was established in 1992 by Peter and Judith Foulger and friends in memory of Muriel Foulger, a longtime Carleton staff member and Art History graduate who travelled widely and made art throughout her life.
