The Mitchell Institute Scholarship

Graduating seniors from Maine public high schools who are full-time Maine residents and plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year degree program may apply. Each Mitchell Scholar receives a $10,000 award paid in four installments of $2,500. Up to 174 scholarships are awarded annually.

Submit the online application between December 1 and March 1 in the spring before high school graduation. Candidates are evaluated on academic potential, community impact, and financial need.
