About this scholarship

U.S. citizens or permanent residents ages 16 to 24 pursuing aviation as a career path may apply. Five $9,000 scholarships are awarded annually to help students who might not otherwise have the means to train for aviation careers.

Recipients must obtain and provide proof of an FAA Third Class medical certificate before training begins. Submit the foundation application with required documentation.

The Lyons Aviation Foundation continues a family legacy in aviation spanning more than 65 years, born from Rolf C. Lyons's Air Force service starting in 1955.
