The Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship

Graduate students enrolled in a degree program during the award calendar year with a major interest in crystallography (crystal structure analysis, morphology, modulated structures, phase identification, or related fields) may apply for the Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship from the ICDD.

Each award is $2,500 and includes a one-year PDF-5+ database subscription. Students graduating before the program's stated cutoff date for that cycle are ineligible.

Submit a two-page research proposal and two-page CV online; a primary research advisor must provide a one-page recommendation by the deadline. The fund honors Ludo Frevel, a pioneering Dow scientist and powder diffraction innovator.
