The Harold Sawler Scholarship

Canadian citizens entering Dalhousie directly from high school with high academic achievement and community engagement may be considered for the Harold Sawler Scholarship. First preference goes to graduates of Dartmouth High School or Prince Andrew High School. If none qualify, the award may go to a student from another Dartmouth high school.

The award amount varies. Apply through the General Entrance Award application by the March deadline.

Harold Sawler was raised in Dartmouth's north end, earned graduate degrees from Dalhousie and Harvard, and served as principal of Bicentennial Junior High School for decades. The scholarship continues his commitment to quality education for Dartmouth students.
