About this scholarship
Graduate students at McMaster University who demonstrate financial need may apply for The Gwen George Graduate Bursary. Preference is given to second-year master's students in any graduate programme leading to a Ph.D. in the Faculties of Humanities or Social Sciences. Demonstrated leadership and service to McMaster and/or the Hamilton-Wentworth and surrounding communities will be a consideration.
The bursary is $1,800. It is awarded by the School of Graduate Studies. Apply through McMaster AwardSpring when the competition is open.
Established in 1997 in memory of Gwen George by her family and friends under the McMaster Student Opportunity Fund.
