The Grace And Harry Hickman Scholarship

Open to full-time University of Victoria students registered in at least one French course who intend to study for one or more semesters at a university where French is the language of instruction, then return to UVic to complete program requirements. Study must take place in a region or country where French is the dominant language and an immersive language and cultural experience is available. Students in any year of study are eligible.

The scholarship amount varies. One award is granted.

Submit a written application with details of the proposed program to the Department of French by April 1 of the academic year before the planned study abroad. The Senate Committee on Awards approves recipients on the Department's recommendation. Payment is made upon receipt of registration documents from an acceptable institution.
