About this scholarship

Part-time or full-time students enrolled at a U.S. college or university may enter an original invention for national judging. Entrants must have been enrolled at least part time during the prior year.

Winners in undergraduate and graduate categories can receive up to $10,000 for first place or $5,000 as runner-up, plus a USPTO patent acceleration certificate. A People's Choice Award adds $2,000. Submit an online application with an invention abstract, faculty recommendation, and literature or patent search summary.
