The Canada Research Training Awards Suite – Research Travel Supplements

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or Protected Persons who hold or have accepted a master's or doctoral-level award from CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC (including the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship) may apply for this research travel supplement. Applicants must plan to begin two to six months of research travel in Canada or abroad on or after the application deadline, must not have held a Canada Graduate Scholarships Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement, and may receive the CRTAS-RTS only once.

The supplement is a non-renewable $9,000 award. Up to 250 supplements may be available.

Each agency has its own application form and instructions. Submit the completed package by the internal deadline to the Graduate Funding Facilitator.
