About this scholarship

Graduating seniors from Rock Ridge High School in the former Eveleth-Gilbert school district with at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need may apply for the Barrows Family Scholarship Fund.

One recipient receives a one-year scholarship ranging from $800 to $1,000 toward immediate enrollment at a two- or four-year college or technical school.

Apply through the Boreal Waters Community Foundation universal scholarship application.

The scholarship honors Frank L. Barrows and Frank L. Barrows II, created by Frank II's parents in 2014 to give Eveleth-area students a chance to follow their dreams.
