About this scholarship
First-year Juris Doctor students at Toronto Metropolitan University's Lincoln Alexander School of Law who self-identify as racialized, have demonstrated a commitment to young people in marginalized communities and/or an interest in social justice and human rights law, have high academic standing, and demonstrate financial need may apply. Preference goes to applicants with mentoring or tutoring experience, or work related to anti-gun violence.
The award amount varies. Apply through Toronto Metropolitan University's AwardSpring site with other Lincoln Alexander Law awards.
Established by Adan Dubet's family in his memory. Adan was a young Black Muslim student at TMU's Ted Rogers School of Business who aspired to attend law school there and mentored racialized youth in Toronto.
