About this scholarship
Louisiana residents age 18 or older who received a Louisiana high school diploma or GED and are registered at a college, university, vocational, or trade school in Louisiana may apply when scholarship rounds open twice yearly.
Top-scoring applicants receive $1,431. Prior winners may receive $431 Lift awards. Each round closes at 100 qualified applicants or the posted deadline.
Applicants must demonstrate a financial plan for continuing education. Recipients must show proof of enrollment before accepting the award. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, equipment, room, board, travel, or research expenses.
