About this scholarship

Texas residents with financial need who enroll at least half time in an undergraduate program at an eligible Texas public two-year institution (community college, public state college, or public technical institute) may receive TEOG grant aid. Initial-year students must meet selective service requirements (or be exempt) and must not exceed the priority Student Aid Index ($6,514 for 2025-26). Funding is limited; institutions prioritize renewal-year students and greatest demonstrated need.

Award amounts vary by institution type. Students may receive up to three grants per academic year (fall, spring, and summer).

Complete the FAFSA or Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA). Submit as early as possible after January 1; the listed deadline for this row is January 15, 2027.
