About this scholarship
First-year Temple University undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for renewable academic merit scholarships when they submit a complete admission application by February 1. No separate scholarship application is required.
Award amounts vary. Scholarships are limited to eight consecutive undergraduate semesters of full-time enrollment, guaranteed for the first four consecutive semesters, then renewable if a minimum cumulative GPA is maintained.
Temple's founder, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, believed education should be available based on intellectual and personal motivation, regardless of income.
