Tara Lynne Touesnard Memorial Bursary in Music

Acadia University entering or returning Bachelor of Music students who show promise in strings are eligible. The bursary is awarded annually on recommendation of the Director of the School of Music, based on financial need and academic achievement. Amount varies.

No separate student application details are published beyond the School of Music recommendation process.

The bursary was established by family and friends of Tara Lynne Touesnard, a third-year Bachelor of Music Education student who died in an automobile accident in 1994. She was a composer and recording artist, a four-time Maritime Old Time Fiddling Champion, and a recipient of the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award.
