About this scholarship
Citizens of the Republic of China (Taiwan) who normally reside in Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, or Matsu and are applying for admission to a University of Toronto PhD program (current U of T PhD students are not eligible) can apply for the Taiwan-U of T Scholarship.
The co-funded scholarship covers tuition and mandatory fees (including UHIP) plus an annual stipend equal to the program's normal funding commitment, for up to four years. Catalog amount is listed as varies; the sponsor states a combined value of no less than $40,000 CAD per year. The program is expected to support up to five doctoral students per year in its initial term.
Applicants must apply to Taiwan's Ministry of Education by the MOE deadline and separately apply for U of T PhD admission. Recipients must maintain enrollment and good academic standing.
