About this scholarship

British Columbia and Yukon post-secondary students who have completed at least one year in environmental management or a related program, and are registered full-time at a recognized institution in B.C. or the Yukon, are eligible for SWANA Pacific Chapter Stuart Somerville Memorial Scholarships of $1,500. Preference may be given to SWANA members or their immediate relatives. Prior-year recipients are not eligible the following year but may reapply after two years.

Apply with the chapter application form, a written submission of 500 words or less, transcript, faculty reference letter, and proof of registration. Selection considers intended studies related to solid waste management, academics, school and community involvement, related extracurricular work, the written submission, and references.
