About this scholarship
Students accepted to or attending San Jose State University for the upcoming fall term who were in foster care at least one day since their 13th birthday may apply. Applicants need a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school or college GPA, a high school diploma or GED, and unmet financial need or educational loans that do not exceed the cost of attendance as determined by the campus Financial Aid Office.
Three awards of $16,000 are available through Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
