About this scholarship
Single parents who are heads of their households and residents of Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, or San Mateo counties may apply if they are enrolled in a community college program for an associate degree, certificate, or four-year transfer, hold a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.
Four scholarships of $10,000 are available. Students who already hold an AA degree and plan to transfer to a four-year college are also eligible.
The Deblinger Family Foundation established this fund to help low-income single mothers return to college and reduce out-of-pocket costs while balancing work, family, and school.
