SVCF Carolyn Balsa Hancock Memorial Scholarship

Special Education graduating seniors in the East Side Union High School District in San Jose, California, who plan vocational or academic training after high school may apply. Applicants need at least a 2.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and must be U.S. citizens, eligible noncitizens, or Dreamers per the FAFSA. Selection favors students who show hard work and perseverance.

Awards are up to $1,500, with up to four available. Apply through Silicon Valley Community Foundation's ApplySVCF portal.

The fund honors educator and counselor Carolyn Hancock, who developed programs helping disabled students obtain and retain jobs.
