About this scholarship

California residents who are graduating high school seniors, currently enrolled undergraduates, re-entry students pursuing a first associate or bachelor's degree, or graduate students with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and demonstrated financial need may apply for the SVCF Bright Futures Scholarship.

Awards range up to $10,000. Recipients must plan to enroll at a two- or four-year institution in the fall.

Apply through the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. The selection committee looks for academic promise and students whose educational opportunities will benefit from financial assistance. The scholarship was established in 2010 to expand funding for worthy applicants.
