Susan Near Prize in Chemistry

Queen's University Department of Chemistry in-course prizes for students with the highest standing in designated upper-year chemistry courses, provided the mark is at least 80 percent. One prize goes to the Arts and Science student with the top mark in CHEM 397; a second goes to the Applied Science student with the top mark in CHEM 398 or 399.

Two prizes are awarded annually; amounts vary. Recipients are nominated by the department; no application is required.

The prizes were founded by the late Susan Near of Toronto.
