Eligibility
About this scholarship
Open to full-time registered York University doctoral students (domestic or international) in their final year who have made significant progress on their dissertation. Applicants must have finished all program requirements except the dissertation, have a dissertation proposal approved by the Dean of Graduate Studies, and normally have completed no more than 48 months of full-time doctoral study at York at award start (disability accommodations are considered for students in their 5th year). Recipients must be able to finish within twelve months and may not hold GA, TA, or course directorships during the award.
Up to nine awards of up to $22,500 over three terms, plus covered program fees, a $1,000 research allowance, and a $1,000 completion bonus upon timely dissertation submission. Non-renewable.
Apply via York's FAAS system with a personal statement (research and completion timeline), supervisor letter of support, transcripts, and CV. Adjudicated with the Provost Dissertation Scholarship; one application covers both.
