About this scholarship
Domestic undergraduate, continuing education, or law students at Toronto Metropolitan University facing an unforeseen financial crisis that materially affects academic progress or success may apply for this one-time Student Financial Assistance emergency bursary. It is not meant to cover ordinary shortfalls when government aid, savings, or employment income are insufficient for educational expenses, and it should not be treated as a regular funding source.
The bursary amount varies. Applicants must submit evidence of the emergency, sign an award agreement, and if funded provide receipts showing proper use of funds. International students, graduate students, students with housing insecurity, and students experiencing sexual or gender-based violence should use the specialized emergency supports listed on the bursary page.
