About this scholarship
High school seniors attending school in Stanly, Cabarrus, Iredell, Mecklenburg, or Union counties, North Carolina, with at least a 2.5 GPA who are accepted to an accredited college for full-time enrollment (minimum 12 hours) may apply.
One recipient receives a $1,000 award paid directly to the chosen college for tuition.
Submit an online or mailed application with an essay of less than 600 words on personal character and career goals, an official transcript, and one letter of recommendation. City Wide Exterminating awards this scholarship in honor of Locust Police Chief Steven R. Smith.
