About this scholarship
U.S. citizens or permanent residents in 30 south and west Texas counties with at least a 2.7 college GPA and 12 or more completed credit hours may apply for need-based awards.
Scholarship amounts vary, with awards typically averaging about $2,000 per academic year depending on institution and need.
Applicants must have completed a high school diploma or equivalent and be enrolled in an accredited two-year, four-year undergraduate, or graduate degree program. Stars Scholarship Fund supports academically talented, motivated students pursuing full-time higher education.

- No maximum length — statements exceeding one page are acceptable; statements under 1 page are not accepted
