About this scholarship

For Canadian Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) women pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at UBC Sauder, including direct-entry, transfer, and current BCom students who show academic achievement, community engagement, tenacity, leadership, and service.

The award is a guaranteed $10,000 per academic year (September to April), renewable for up to four years or until graduation, whichever is shorter. Additional needs-based funding may cover living costs and related expenses. Apply by emailing the Spitz Family Award application to Sauder, and self-identify as Indigenous and as a woman on the UBC application (or on Workday for current students).

The Spitz family created the award and Fellows Program with UBC Sauder and the Ch'nook Indigenous Business Education Initiative.
